Travel Confusion

My family and i are starting in Rome, going to Sorrento for 4 days, going to Florence for 8 days, but i dont want to go back to Rome and go all the way in one day. Are there buses which go up through Tarquinia or Grosseto, I would like to break the journey like this for one night. But also i am having difficulty locating accommodation beside a train or bus station in these places, can anyone help. Thanks

Probably lots of people can help - but not unless they see your question. You should re-post w/ a title that says in some detail what you need. "Travel Confusion" doesn't mention Italy, let alone Tarquinia or Grosseto or buses.

Could be asking anything about anywhere in Europe.

I don't get it - do you propose to get from Sorrento to Tarquinia and on to Grossetto without going through or past the city of Rome? That would require no end of devious detours.

There are regional trains from Roma-Trastevere or Roma-Ostiense that go up the coast, to Tarquinia and on to Grosseto, and on to Siena and on to Florence if you wish, or from Grosseto up to Pisa and from there to Florence.

For buslines look at www.italybus.it/default.asp

I agree with the advice to repost. In the meantime, I am surprised you are having difficulty locating accommodations in Grosseto. Look at this:
