Travel Channel - Jamie Oliver's Great Italian Escape

I have yet another bit of Travel Channel info for everyone that came via email at work this morning:

Jamie Oliver returns to American cable TV in the Travel Channel's newest series, Jamie Oliver's Great Italian Escape which premieres November 8 at 8p. In this new cooking/travel series, Jamie will journey through Italy looking for culinary inspiration and professional rejuvenation all packed in his family's RV. Sharing scenes with the Italian countryside and coast, in one episode he will cook in an open-air market in Sicily and another he takes a job at local fisherman's restaurant on the island of Marettimo. The series is produced by Fresh One Productions for Freemantle North America for the Travel Channel.

Thanks for that info traf.
I quite like Jamie if he's not using bad language. Really doesn't suit him or any other Ramsay wannabe.

Jamie Oliver I will gladly watch especially since he will be in Italy. He's certainly lots better than Joan Cusack (how did she get a travel show anyway?).

This program was actually on the Food Network a few months ago...

It was an interesting series, although short (I think only 5 episodes?). He showed real Italian cooking, as opposed to non-Italian interpretations of Italian cooking. Interesting how different the food is in different regions of Italy.
