Travel by ferry from Amsterdam to Denmark

I am flying into Amsterdam and would like to visit Copenhagen from there. Instead of flying I thought a ferry/cruise ship might be more fun. So far I can not find a ship that goes that route. They all seem to go to Great Britian. Any help is appreciated.
thx

Don't waste your time with the cruise. It is a lot farther then you think. Take a short flight from Amsterdam to Copenhagen. Then get a rental car (over-priced, but still the easiest way to see a lot). You can take the bridge over to Sweeden when you get tired of Copenhagen...or drive the other way and go into Odense, also now connected with a bridge. We were both places last month. Kronburg in worth the drive north of Copenhagen. Also Fredricksburg (not checking spelling on these) where the kings/queens are buried. There is a fabulous viking museum in Fredricksburg too (NW of the Copenhagen...about 40 minute drive). You'll see lots more if you fly in and get a rental car.
