Transportation Services from Florence Train Station to San Gimignano

Can anyone recommend a private car service or even a train route for 8 people from the Florence train station to San Gimignano? We have a family wedding to attend and don't want to rent a car if we don't have to

By public transportation, you'd take a train to Poggibonsi, and a bus or several taxis from there.

I often see similar questions about transportation to weddings in out-of-the-way places, and I wonder why those planning the wedding leave their guests to their own devices.

I'd do a car service or mini-van - taking train means changing at Empoli and then a bus to S Gimi. Or maybe rent your own cars? anyway for trains check Acquista il biglietto con le nostre offerte - Trenitalia for schedules.

I have used a car service called Chianti Drivers in Florence. They are excellent! Always on time, car is clean, and the driver, Simone, was friendly and knowledgeable. He met us at train station, took us sightseeing, to wine tasting and to San Gimignano. When we left Florence he drove us to the airport in the rain and early morning traffic. We would certainly use them again as it is cheaper than renting a car.
