transportation rome

My husband 16 year old son and I are doing a 10 day cruise from Citavecchia in June; we are in need of transportation from the airport to the port...anybody have any suggestions...also, from port in July to our hotel in rome

Have you checked with the cruise line to see if they will pick you up at the airport and deliver you to the port? Some of them do that, I think. We will be using www.romecabs.com for transportation from our hotel to the port in April. You might try them. Have a great trip!

Here's another vote for www.romecabs.com

And another vote for Rome Cabs. I used them last December for airport pick up and drop off at hotel (so I didn't go to the cruise port, but I know they do that also).

The driver was at the airport waiting for us with a sign with our name on it. The driver spoke English and even gave us a brief tour of the city before dropping us off at our hotel.

I am going back to Rome this December and will be using them again!

Hi M,

>we are in need of transportation from the airport to the port.

Assuming that you are arriving at FCO,

Take the express shuttle to Roma TE - 11.5E pp.

Take the train to Civitavecchia (You can buy your tickets when you buy your ticket to Rome)10E pp.

Take a cab from the train station to the docks, or walk - abt 1.5 km.

Using the train will be much cheaper - using the cab/limo will be much easier! You may also want to look on www.crusiecritic.com for alot of helpful info - go to the ports section of the discussion board. Have a wonderful trip!
