Transportation Options to San Gimignano
 

Hello,

Please advise best mode of transportation from Florence to San Gimignano.

There are 3 of us who will be meeting another group of 3. The others will have a rental car though I did not want to have them come to the chaos of Florence center.

Take a cab outside of Florence to a location (where) for them to pick us up?

Take a cab or hire a driver direct to San Gimignano?

Train? Bus?

I am looking for most convenient not necessarily most economical. Thank you!!!

I'm sorry I don't remember the specific town's name, but from Florence to San G. we took the train, then had to transfer to a bus in a small town.

Maybe you could have your friends meet you at the bus stop. ( We were able to take the train directly back to Florence from San G.)

Last time I did it I took the direct bus - was the simplest.

The town is Poggibonsi and why not have them meet at the station there.It is a :15 drive from there.
