Transportation options from Granada Airport to the Alhambra.

We're arriving at the Granada airport on a Wed. at 6:30 pm and need to get to the Alhambra ASAP. Does anyone have recent experience of getting from the airport into town on a bus or taxi? I read that buses only run 5 times a day which doesn't seem very frequent. (though my Spain travel book is 10 years old). Another option: What might we pay to take a taxi from airport to the Alhambra, which is our ultimate destination.
Big thanks to anyone who might be able to help!

"though my Spain travel book is 10 years old" Time to update!

The bus meets the incoming flights, but a taxi would be the quickest way to get to the Alhambra if you have a scheduled entry.

Granada Airport to the City Center: 20-24 euros, so the Alhambra will be slightly more.

Will you have luggage with you?

Thank you Robert. That helps. The bus should be quick enough.
Yes, Sass, we'll have 2 carry on size bags with us. Is that a consideration?

It could very well be a consideration.

It looks as if you are going straight to the Alhambra, not checking into your hotel first.
You are only allowed to carry small bags (12" or less) around with you at the Alhambra, so you must place anything else in the left luggage storage. They may have larger lockers now, but they used to be only backpack sized.

You might want to check the opening and closing hours for the luggage storage. People usually leave their luggage at their hotel or possibly at the train station. If your hotel is near the Alhambra, perhaps the taxi could drop your luggage off for you.

It may be no problem at all, but you don't want to get there and have it be an issue to deal with at the last minute. Maybe someone who has been more recently can give you up to date info.

Thank you Sass. We're staying at a hotel next to the Alhambra so it should not be a problem.
