Transportation Naples to Amalfi town

Is it possible to get a ferry from Naples to Amalfi town on Saturday, May 16. I have read that service is limited until summer. Is there an internet site with ferry information?

It looks like Metro del Mare's schedule starts April 23. You will need the MM3.

Thanks for the info. It looks like the ferry leaves too early for us since we will be coming from Rome by train. So I guess I will stick with my original plan... train to Salerno and bus to Amalfi. I am glad to have the Metro del Mare site.

Hi Pen,

I would take the train from Rome to Salerno and then the ferry (3 blocks from the train station) or the SITA bus (near the station) to Amalfi.

You won't have to schlep your luggage on the Circumvesuviana.

For Ferry schedules Positano – Amalfi - Salerno (P.zza della Concordia):

SITA bus schedules are at http://tinyurl.com/ybe6xk

You can also take the Marozzi bus from Rome to Sorrento which leaves Rome at 7am on weekends. In Sorrento you could catch a ferry or the Sita bus to Amalfi. The Curreri bus leaves Rome for Sorrento at 2pm.
