Transportation in Barcelona

We are flying into Barcelona this March. Should we schedule airport transportation to our hotel ahead of time? Or would anyone suggest just grabbing a taxi at the airport? There are 8 of us. Does anyone have the name of a transportation company? Thanks in advance!

Hello!

You could take the aerobus at the airport, there's one every 5 minutes and they stop in Plaça espanya, Plaça universitat and Plaòa Catalunya, and maybe from there get a taxi;

or you can reserve a private transfer or a shuttle:

Hope it can help you!

Would it be a fiscal challenge if you ended up in two taxis for a short time?

You can always grab a cab or two when you arrive. We paid E20 for a cab to Eixample, near Sagrada Familia.

Eight with luggage will certainly fill two cabs. You may be able to find some sort of people carrier that can seat you comfortably, but I'd guess all of you won't fit into one vehicle.

Take two cabs and depending on where your hotel is, you should pay a max of €30 per cab.

Thank you, all! I will look into all of your suggestions.

I've taken both the Aerobus when going to a location within 1 blocks of it and a taxi another time when not a place that convenient. The aerobus is great if it works for your location, but taxis aren't that expensive. I've never heard of any taxi anywhere that could take 8 people with luggage.
