Transportation from the airport in Venice
Hi!
I am arriving at Venice (Marco Polo) airport about 9pm. I need to get to San Marco from the airport..
What would be the best way?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your options are private water taxi which costs about 85e for your party or the alilaguna (water bus) for about 12e/person. Look at the alilaguna schedule at alilaguna.com
If your hotel has a water dock, the water taxi will take you right to your door, convenient at that hour of the night. If you take the alilaguna you'll have to find your way so make sure you have clear directions to the hotel

Nanu - The 'Alilaguna' service runs every 30 mins till late at night.
Fare: € 10
That will be your best option - unless you want to go to the expense of a private water taxi (€ 80 +)
Hope this helps ...

There is also the Venice Express Bus, 3€, which takes you to Piazzale Roma, where you'd get a vaporetto to San Marco. The bus runs every 20 minutes, but I don't know what time it stops running.

Thanks all!
I think I might go with the 'alilaguna'option.. looked into their website.. looks to be the most convenient and cheap for late night arrivals..
thanks for all your suggestions.

The bus is quicker and cheaper, and given that you're arriving late you'll not benefit from the view of the lagoon and Venice via Alilaguna (or water taxi). I'd take the land bus, and transfer to vaporetto (very easy to do) to get to San Marco.
