transportation from porto to lagos
 

Hello,
My wife and I will be visting Portugal in September. We have always rented a car in our travels, but some car rentals are reluctant to rent to people in their late 70's.
Has anyone used public transportation, buses and or trains traveling from Porto to Lagos? Thank you.

You can take the AP train from Porto to Faro and transfer at Tunes for the train to Lagos.

It's an easy trip by train. I see no advantage to doing this trip by car.

Hello! Would you recommend flying from Porto to Faro? Flights seem reasonable on Ryan Air. I want to check out Faro and the surrounding area but I only have 2.5 days to visit.

Short answer: yes
The fastest train from Porto to Faro is 6 hours, the flight is about 1hour plus check in / security.
