Transportation from Paris to Wengen

Taking a train from Paris, destination is Wengen, Switzerland. What is the best route? Do you change to bus at some point? Would like to lv. Paris as early in am as possible so I could have some of the remainder of the day(and also the next day) to see the Wengen area. Thanks... Don

Don, let me commend to you with loving care the magical web site that sees all, knows all, and tells all:
This site is in English and all you do is plug in Paris and Wengen and the dates on which you wish to travel, and the magic little web site tells you what you need to know.

My guess is that your best travel time will be via TGV from Gare de Lyon to Bern, and then from Bern to Interlaken Ost. Then you change trains and ride on the Berner Oberlandbahn, the BOB, from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, and from Lauterbrunnen you ride the green and yellow Wengener Alp Bahn, the WAB, up the hillside to Wengen.
