Transportation from Lisbon to Portugal

I am planning a trip to Spain and Portugal and have 3 days in Lisbon and 2 days in Faro before flying out of Faro airport. I was wondering if there is an easy way to get from Lisbon to Faro, and what hotels are close and cheap to the beach and the airport. Thanks for any advice!

There are trains: www.cp.pt for schedules and fares, or www.bahn.de for schedules. There are also buses.

Google the words Lisbon to Faro and you see all manner of suggestions.

Faro is a large regional city but not right on the beach - I'd try Lagos, a veritable beach resort easily reached by train or bus from Lisbon. Lagos is also one of the few beach cities on the Algarve that has any character - a very old city with a warren of streets as opposed to miles of tacky highrise resorts that mainly line the coast.
