transportation from Heathrow to London on boxing day 2018
Hi
I see that the heathrow express does not run during boxing day. Does anyone know what time the tube starts? i couldnt find this information online. I will be staying near borough market. Would there be a bus to drop me off around there from Heathrow?
Thanks,
Jo

I'd never take the HEX even if it was running . . . unless you are staying right at Paddington. Otherwise it doesn't make sense because you still have to take a taxi or the Tube to your final destination. The HEX for Borough Market would be a terrible choice..
If you are traveling carry-on only and can handle the Tube use that. But a better option IMO would be a pre-booked car service like justairpors.com which would be door-to-door.

It looks like tube specifics are quite posted yet for the holiday week. I would check the internet again closer. If you still can't tell or just don't want to worry about it you might try a car service like justaiports.com. One benefit of car service on holidays is without too much traffic it can be much quicker and so worth the cost time tradeoff for a holiday. And do watch for specific closures on any given line or station. Those happen even when not a holiday. Use this page from the tube website and pick "future date" tab and chose from the calendar that pops up to check any given day. https://tfl.gov.uk/tube-dlr-overground/status/

At Green Park, there's quite a walk between the lines, but there are lifts if you can't face getting your luggage up and down a couple of dozen stairs between the platforms and the interchange corridor.
