transportation from heathrow

Does anyone know how late trains or underground run from heathrow to central London? I get in at 11pm and need to get to Trafalgar square. Even hotelink doesnt run that late.
Thanks

You get the information here:

It looks like you may be cutting it close, depending on how long it takes you to clear immigration and customs.

In my experience, the most time-consuming parts of the process are: getting from your arrival gate to the terminal, and waiting at baggage claim. Customs and immigration are usually well-staffed (although I don't know whether they're fully manned that late at night) and I usually get through in 10 minutes or less.

I would recommend a) not checking any luggage, and b) planning to make the trip into town by car or shuttle bus, as a contingency.

I tend to believe in the theory that surprises occur when you least expect them or when you're in a rush. So do plan for the event that you miss the Tube -- it's true immigration shouldn't be that busy at night, but then your flight might be delayed or it could take a while for the plane to get to the gate after landing, etc.

You might want to avoid the stress of whether you'll make the last train and just book a car service for the trip into London.

But then that creates the stress of not knowing if you could have saved a pile of money by taking the Tube.

I say don't book a car unless you plan to use it regardless.
