transportation from Gatwick to London

We are arriving on a Sunday morning at Gatwick. What is the best way to get into London? Our Hotel is in Kensington.

Andy help greatly appreciated

Southern Trains £9 pp.

They also sell a DaySave ticket for £10 valid all over their network for a day. Restrictions apply during weekday commute times, but not on Sunday.

Gatwick Express train to Victoria Station, then metro to the closest sttaion to Kensington. $12/pp (2002 price).

I did heard rumors the Express was getting canned. True? False?

The current R/T price for the GEX is 25 Pounds and the Southern Trains OW fare is definietly cheaper than the same thing on the GEX.

Gatwick Express is guaranteed to run as is thru June 2007 at earliest and is likely to survive in some incarnation after that.

Can you buy your ticket on Southern Trains onboard or do you need to buy them before?

Thanks!

You can buy at Gatwick, no need to buy ahead

Robespierre Mar 13th, 2006 04:33 AM

But the Southern DaySave must be ordered on-line.

Thanks for the info on Southern Trains.

Can you buy the ticket on the train itself or in the airport?
