Transportation from FCO into city
Trip to Italy in the works.
Have air from home to Rome/FCO, Rome to Turin and Turin home. Have hotels for each city . Have car in Turin. What do you suggest for getting into the city from airport? Can you get the train to Termini at the airport? Our Rome hotel is supposedly a short walk from the station, we travel light and are willing to make the walk. Cost seems to be much more reasonable than a taxi. We arrive at 7:20. Flight to Turin is at 13:15. How much time should we allow to get to airport and pass through security?. |
Yes, you can take the Leonardo Express right at the airport into Termini.
I'll see if I can track down the great threads on it but also you can google it for great directions and info (I think here or Slow Travel someone posted full directions with photos. |

Your options - Taxi fixed at 40E, Leonard Express at 14E/person, SITBUS shuttle 8E/person. The transit time is 30 plus waiting time and walking. For a mid day flight I would allow for two hours once at the airport. It can get crazy at midday.

Thanx to you all - exactly the help I was looking for.
