Transportation from Berlin to Bern/Lauterbrunnen or Interlaken?

Jump to last reply

I am planning a trip to Switzerland for May, after spending some time in Berlin. I am thinking of visiting Bern or Luzern, and then the Berner Oberland area. I have a few questions, so please hang in there with me.

--I like quaint, charming towns. Would you recommend Bern or Luzern? I am leaning towards Bern.

--What are the best transportation options from Berlin to Bern or Luzern?

--If I want to visit the Jungfraujoch and some of the other spectacular parts of the Alps, would you suggest I stay in Interlaken, or Lauterbrunnen?

--If I have 2 or 3 days for the Berner Oberland area, and want to experience as much of the Alps as possible, without doing any hiking (i.e. trains, trams, gondolas, etc), how should I spend those days? There seem to be so many options!!

Thanks for any help you can give me.
