Transportation from Barcelona airport to Li Riberia
I will be arriving by air in Barcelona on June 30 at 8:30 am and need to get to my hotel in Li Riberia. I am a female traveling alone. What is the best way to do this?
Cab, I assume. Do I need to be on look out for fraudulent drivers?

Some 25-30€ with taxi from the airport to La Ribera. Or you can take the airport bus for a couple of Euros to Plaça de Catalunya and walk ten-fifteen minutes depending on where in La Ribera or take a 4-5€ taxi. Official taxis all over all the time, never any problems.

You could save some money and take the bus from the airport to Placa Catlunya
and taxi from there ..not far.10euros max.
The hotel is in a very popular pedestrian street..in Born , not sure if the taxi can stop right in front
of the hotel...
I have been to Barcelona several times on my own ( last time end of April)
...never had a problem.

Hotel Banys Orientals is a five mins walk from Estació de França and ten mins walking from Plaça de Catalunya. About 4€ with taxi from both places + perhaps a luggage supplement. Direct taxi from the airport would be 25-30€ incl 4€ airport extra.
Great place to stay, in the middle of the vibrant Born district and close to everything. The top picture is taken from about the doorstep of Banys Orientals: http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.c...s/el-born.html

The Jaume 1 Metro station is at the end of Argenteria, about a half block from your hotel. So after taking the bus to Placa Catalunya you could take the Metro one stop from the Urquinaona station, just off Placa Catalunya, but you'd have to negotiate some stairs.
Taxi would be 30-35 euros (prices seem to have gone up) and could drop you on Via Laeitana at the Jaume 1 station. No problem if you get one at the large queue just outside the baggage claim area.
