Transportation Costs in Rome
I will be arriving in Rome at FCO airport. What is the average cost of taxi from this airport to the Pantheon area of Rome? My hotel has offered to send a private car to pick me up at the airport, but I want to find out if it would be cheaper to take a taxi.

It's cheaper to take an Airport shuttle... You can call your airlines to get a list of Airport shuttle companies. Flat fees to several locations. Comfortable shuttles too as they are usually Mercedes vans.

Sorry, I don't know Lori, but I'm topping in case someone can answer your question. I'm aware you didn't ask about a shuttle, but a taxi.
My recollection is about 50 euro, but I'm not going to swear by that.

I will be staying at Albergo Santa Chiara. They have offered to pick me up from the airport for Euro 50,000 for my husband and I. If the average taxi cost is Euro 35,000 to Euro 50,000 I think it's probably easier to just have the hotel pick me up.
