Transportation after Fimmvörđuháls Hike - August 15, 2019?
Hi everyone,
I plan to hike the Fimmvörđuháls trail in two days - spending the night of August 15 at the Utivist hut halfway between Skógar and Thórsmörk (Básar). The problem I am having is finding the best way to get from Thórsmörk (Básar) back to our car. From what I am seeing online, we might be best off parking in Seljalandsfoss and then bussing or hitchhiking to Skogafoss where the trail begins on the 15th, then taking a bus from Básar to Seljalandsfoss on the 16th after the hike.
Does anyone have any experience or any ~cost efficient~ ways to do this?
Better yet, any hikers out there planning to do this hike on August 15th who might be willing to collaborate on a two car situation?
