Transport from Venice cruise port to airport

My husband and I will be spending one day in Venice post cruise in June 2008.

Would like to ask are there public transports from the Venice cruise port to the airport? What are the options and rates pls?

Hi Th44 - A taxi to the airport from Stazione Marittima (- or San Basilio) dock will normally cost about € 35-40.

Alternatively you can catch the regular ATVO Airport Shuttle bus from nearby Piazzale Roma.

If your cruise line has a shuttle the quickest and cheapest is the Blue Bus 5e each leaves P Roma about every 10-15min. Its about a 10min walk but its up hill then down and if you have a ton of luggage its a hassle.

If you are staying in Venice one day post cruise, then you'll need transportation from your hotel to the airport, correct? Perhaps I'm reading you wrong.

The best way to get to airport after your post cruise stay will depend on where you are staying. There are various options.

We're just back from Venice and the ATVO bus (blue bus) is 3 euro each.
