You can take trains - www.trenitalia.com for schedules.

Does the Naples to Sorrento train run all day on Sunday? I have trouble getting the trentalia website to work - when I click on a date I get NaN-NaN-NaN most of the time. Once when I entered a Sunday date it seemed to work, but the earliest departure shown was around 1 pm. I've tried to get schedules for other days without success.

Naples to Sorrento is not Trenitalia. It's a private rail line Circumvesuviana.

Train (Trenitalia), CSTP bus (34?), ferry.

For Napoli Centrale --> Salerno, www.trenitalia.com shows both Trenitalia trains (8E) and Circumvesuviana trains (the ones without the prices) for Sunday, January 27.

I rather doubt that as Salerno's not on the Circumvesuviana system!

You perhaps meant the Metropolitana?

Best bargain is on some of Trenitalia's Regionale trains - those that take the new line round the inland side of Vesuvius, with a non-stop journey of 40 to 41 minutes - for which the UnicoCampania fare is only 4 Euro.

Mmhhhh... if you have enough cash on you get a private care transfer, otherwise Bus is the easiest way I think, but it'll take a while.
