Transfers from cruise terminal to hotel in Venice

We will be finishing our cruise in Venice in late October. Our hotel is the Giorgione in Cannaregio. There are 4 of us in our party. What are out options for transfers to our hotel?

Cruise ships berth in at least three places in Venezia. You need to find where your ship will be berthed - the cruise line should know.

Once you know the location of the cruise ship dock, send your hotel an email asking their advice. I always do this when going to Venice as it can be very confusing to find some of the hotels.

Exactly - the hotel needs to tell you if they have a private pier - or, if not - which is the nearest public pier or vaporeto stop.

They can also tell you if they'll send a bellman to the pier (since it;s a cruise I assume you have more luggage then you want to carry yourselves) - or if you will have to carry/pull the luggage yourself, how far and what route to take.

Note: The charming bridges in Venice have STEPS - not ramps. So even if you hotel is just 2 or three bridges away from whatever form of transportation you choose, remember you are walking up the stairs with luggage, then down the stairs with luggage, for every bridge.
