Transferrs from Rome Hotel to Port at Civitavecchia

I am staying at a Hotel in Rome in November this year and travelling to Civitavecchia to catch a cruise for 2 weeks and then returning to Rome to the same Hotel. It seems like there is a bit of confusion about the cost and availability of transferrs to and from the Port back to Rome. The taxi ride for 2 people is expensive going by sites on the net, I suppose because it is so far. Shuttle buses go from the Airport to the Port, however is it possible to grab a reliable and reasonably priced Shuttle bus that picks you up with your luggage from the front door of a city Hotel and drops you off at the front door to the Port.? I would laso require the same going back from the Port to the Hotel in Rome.
I would appreciate if anyone could give me more information on how to locate them and where to book.

No shuttle that I know of. Your choices are a car service (which will be 100 euros plus), train or a transfer from your cruise company. The cruise line will have transfers from the city to the port, these won't be cheap either, and the disadvantage of using these transfers is that you'll need to go to their pick up/drop off points in Rome.

Just as I thought, it seems strange there aren't more mini bus type operators offering a service because of the huge cruie business in Civitavecchia. thank you for comment

Rome Shuttle Limousine, mentioned above, is excellent. Regardless of the name, they offer private transfers. We pay 35 Euro to the airport; the port is further. Ask them to quote you a price.

eks - Their price is listed on the link (110€).

Thanks, KY--I did notice that after I posted.

Thanks ky & eks. Is that 110 Euro each way for the car or per person?
Also do they pick you up from your Hotel and drop off at the door of Port?

It's 110 Euro each way per car, not per person. You will be picked up from your hotel and dropped off at the port where you need to check in for your cruise.

It's each way. Perhaps they will give a bit of a discount if you book round trip.

Transfers to and from the port of Civitavecchia
Transfer from Rome to Civitavecchia / Civitavecchia - Rome
The price is inclusive of all for up to 3 people with luggages
110 euro
Payment cash or credit card to the driver

5 people (Mercedes Van) 145 euro
8 people ( Mercedes van) 165 euro
14 people ( Mercedes van) 300 euro

You could also train (10€) and taxi to and from the hotel/station/port.

If cost is an issue than you can just take the regional train from either Rome Termini or Rome St. Peter's station. Tickets are 4.50 Euro and it takes 1hr. Trains run about twice an hour all day long. The faster IC trains take about 40min, cost 10-12€, and run less frequently.

Then taxi as kyb suggests. The taxi can pick you up from your hotel. Cost for a taxi will depend on your location, but should be about 12-15€ in Rome, less than that in Civitavecchia to the port.

By car/van it'll take 60-90min, depending on traffic in/out of Rome.

We took the train from Civitavecchia to Rome after arriving by Ferry from Barcelona, I paid 13.50 for the 3 of us, about 45 mins ride. Buses from and to the train station from the Civitavecchia Port are free and run often and take you to your Ship.
