Transfer from Geneva Airport to Annecy

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced shuttle or taxi service for a transfer on a Saturday from the airport in Geneva to Annecy?

We were planning to take a bus but the buses run very infrequently on the weekends. A google search turned up a Geneva taxi company which quoted 225 Euros for the trip and an Annecy taxi which received a bad review (did not show up) on Trip Advisor.

We should arrive in Geneva at 11 AM. The buses from the Geneva train station on Saturday leave at 12:30 and 17:15. I don't believe we can count on making the 12:30 and we'd prefer not waiting for the later train if at all possible.

Any other suggestions or options are appreciated!

There are frequent trains - take a train from the airport to Geneva'Cornavin (sp?) station - main station for trains to Annecy. Pretty straight forward and much cheaper than any shuttle or taxi - check schedules at www.sbb.ch and fares too - just buy tickets upon arrival at Geneva Airport's train station. for lots of great info on trains in France check out these great sites IMO - www.seat61.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com. Have no worry about getting tickets upon arrival for the next convenient train.

Thanks, PalenQ. It looks like the train will take longer than the bus and cost more......maybe waiting for the bus is not such a bad idea.

You can buy your ticket to Annecy at the CFF airport station which is located at the check-in/arrival level. All trains leaving from the airport stop at Cornavin station. You don't need to change train at Cornavin.

There is also a regular bus service from Geneva airport to Annecy :

Thank you, Pvoyageuse, I have the bus schedule. My comcern is that there are limited buses on Saturdays, the day of our arrival, and we were hoping we could get to Annecy without a long wait for train or bus. A bus leaves from the train station 1 1/2 hours after our flight arrives.....that's our best option if we can make it. The next is almost 4 hours later. Perhaps we can find a nice restaurant near the train station and have lunch while we wait if we can't make the first bus.

The site above for the trains has a train at a convenient time but it notes a 3 hour trip with 2 changes.

We'll be tired and jetlagged so looking for the simplest way to make this trip.
