Transfer from Gare St. Lazare to CDG

Uh-oh. I just discovered that our train from Caen gets into Gare St. Lazare at 1:45 p.m. and our Aer Lingus flight to Dublin departs CDG at 3:45 p.m. Can we make it, or do I need to figure out a contingency plan? What is the best/quickest way for three travelers (including one elderly person, luggage and non-French speaking) to make this transfer, and is Paris traffic likely to be a consideration if we take a taxi? How long would it take by taxi? My DH hates close connections, so I am dreading telling him about this....

The obvious solution is to take an earlier train out of Caen. Two hours from train arrival until flight departure is not enough time.

Yes, heavy traffic could make for a longer taxi ride, but that won't be a concern if you take an earlier train. Under normal conditions, plan on just under an hour.

Thank you. An earlier train is not an option for reasons that I won't go into. I will develop a Plan B, whatever that is...

At least your arrival time at St-Lazare is in your favor. Since it won't be rush hour, your taxi ride should take you less than an hour.
