Transfer between terminals at CDG

We need to meet someone at CDG - he will land in Terminal One, and we land at Terminal Two 15 minutes later. We will meet at baggage claim in Terminal Two. Info on CDG indicates there is a shuttle bus between terminals, but I've heard that CDG is extremely confusing. Has anyone experienced problems navigating between the terminals? Is it reasonable to expect that we could meet within one hour of landing, notwithstanding any flight delays? Thanks!

The free shuttle bus between terminals has been replaced by the free CDGVAL, a driverless train. (There still are buses to shuttle people making connection between the various sections of Terminal 2.)

If you're going to take the RER to Paris, why not meet at the CDG 2 TGV RER station which is right below Terminal 2 rather than at the baggage claim area?

CDG2 is actually 6 separate terminals (2A to 2F) plus an extra concourse (S3). You need to be very specific where at CDG2 to meet.

TimS is exactly right. Meet at the TGV/RER station at CDG2, which is also where the CDGVAL from Terminal 1 comes in to.

I agree that there are six parts to terminal 2, so you need to be very specific. The RER station is a good idea if that really is the way you intend to go into Paris.

I've never had any problems navigating between the parts, they are all labeled and there are signs. It's possible you could meet in one hour, maybe a bit longer.

Thanks for your suggestions - unfortunately we have already booked a driver who will meet us at baggage claim, thus prohibiting us from meeting at the TGV station.

First, again, there are 6 terminals at CDG2. You better make sure the driver knows which one to meet you.

Second, a driver can't get to the actual baggage claim. He/she can only meet you at the customs exit.

Just keep those in mind.
