According to my old pal Cristobol who took the same route, the port side gets more sun. The starbord side faces north. After the fall equinox and the sun rises and sets more ot the ... I don't recall what he said anything about rough seas, so maybe others will chime in.

We have done several transatlantics, mostly westbound, and never had rough seas. And, I am susceptible to seasickness. The only time we experienced really rough seas was on an eastbound spring trip in the North Atlantic. That trip originated in New Jersey, and we could not go outside, even topside, (and shows were cancelled for safety of performers) for three or four days. I even developed sea legs by the fourth day. It was so bad, Celebrity, as I recall, cancelled all future transatlantics in the North Atlantic.
