Does anyone know if the tramway that runs around the outskirts of Paris (for example, T3 from Pt D'Orleans to Vanves) is covered by the Pass Navigo? Thanks. We'll be staying in the outslirts of the 14th for our next trip and this tram looks like it'll be useful for us to get to a great morning boulangerie!

Yes at that ride is wholly within what is considered central Paris. Just like a bus or metro.

Any idea how often they run from station to station? Is there an actual schedule available that a non-French speaker could make sense of?

I walked the whole route of this tramway recently and trams ran very frequently - every several minutes so do not worry about schedules.

I followed the entire length of the tram line this spring, including the future extension that won't open until the end of 2012. (Naturally the works have progressed considerably since my report and the rails have been laid in many areas now.)

kerouac - which side is the new extension being added on - on the east going to connect with RER C or on the west side? thanks - currently my computer cannot open your attachments which probably show which side the new extension is on.

The extension goes east and north to Porte de la Chapelle. There is already a plan to continue to Porte d'Asnières. As for the rest of the ring of Paris in the 16th and 17th arrondissements, the voters are wondering "why would we want this crap when we have our Mercedes and Jaguars?" So they don't want the tram to continue all the way around.

Great info! Thanks. So it looks like when we arrive in Paris, we can RER B from CDG to Cite Universiair and then hop the Tram to Brancion and walk up a couple of blocks to our apartment which is off of Castagnary.

I wonder what the interchange is like between RER B at Cite U and tram B - right next to each other as I presume but would not take for granted?

Yes, the Cité-U tram station is right in front of the Cité-U RER station -- fewer than 10 meters separate them.
