Hi Randola - Last time I looked this up I found a summer service twice weekly (Tues & Thurs) between Greve and Siena.

Not sure if that still applies ...

Here is a quote from the site:

It is also possible to reach Greve by SITA bus from Florence. The bus station is 100 yards to the left of the Railway Station (SMN). The trip takes one hour. There are two routes, via Grassina and via Ferrone. The Grassina road is the "Chiantigiana". In summer, from mid-June to the end of July, there is a bus connection from Florence to Sienna through Greve on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It passes through Greve at 8.30 am and takes another hour to reach Sienna. For the timetable, ask at the SITA station in Florence or at the outlets in Greve that sell the tickets (e.g. Café Lepanto, Piazza Matteotti). In other seasons, you have to return to Florence and take the express bus via the motorway to Sienna.
