Trains in Spain

Can someone please help me with the train routes in Spain? We will be taking the train from Barcelona to Algecira. What is the fastest route for this? How long will the whole trip be? Will it be an overnight train?
Thank you all in advance for your advice.

Have you checked www.renfe.es? You can obtain schedules and pricing in English by clicking on the English tab.

There isn't a direct train. Your best bet seems to be the overnight train to Bobadilla (21:00-8:24), changing there for the train to Algeciras (8:50-11:24).

Alternatively, take the overnight train to Malaga then a bus to Algeciras. The bus station in Malaga is next to the railway station.

Can someone please tell me where Bobadilla is?

Bobadilla es in southern Spain, Andalucia. in the Malaga province and where train connections in the south need to be made when they're no direct train.
There's also a Bobadilla in Jaen but it's not the one where you switch trains.
