Trains from Mijas/Fuengirola to Seville
Hi - currently in Calahonda/Mijas and looking to go to Seville for a day trip. Looks like there are trains from Fuengirola to Seville. Some specific questions - is there more than one train company? IS there a high-speed between Malaga and Seville? I went to the RENFE site looking for trains from Fuengirola and didn't see any station there.
Thanks!
Thanks!

There are no direct trains from Fuengirola to Seville. Your journey is two legs via Malaga.
There is no other rail company but RENFE.
There is high speed. AVE are the highest speed trains running in Spain, AVANT can be your journey between Malaga and Seville and nearly hits the same speeds.
The network between Fuengirola and Malaga is a cercanias (commuter)network and the time table is - http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/cer...aga/index.html
For your information the bus (I could be corrected by minutes) is a four hour each way journey.
