Trains from Malpensa to Lake Como?

Traveling in June, landing in Malpensa and need to get to Lake Como. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We land around 6 in the evening, it looks like there are buses and trains to several train stations in Milano and from there a train to Como? Just want to know if someone has traveled this route and can give us details on how they did it....

I did this route some years ago. I took the train from Milano Centrale Train Station to Lake Como. Easy and simple, beautiful views!

Are you going to the town of Como or somewhere else on Lake Como?

yes there are direct buses Malpensa to Como but not sure how late they run

by rail - two ways - hop the Malpensa Express and then change before Milan to a line that goes to Como's lakeside Nord de Milano (sp?) station - not the main station in Como but right at the boat dock

or take the bus from Malpensa to Milano Centrale then train to Como - being careful to dodge the trains like those going onto Switzerland that require reservations before boarding

either a or b would be pererable and cheaper than going via Milano Centrale, also a hectic station with dozens and dozens of tracks - if doing this route buy ticket at Trenitalia desk in the airport arrivals area.

We are traveling to Tremezzo, not sure which station would be closer.
