Train travel in Spain

I want to take a fast train from Barcelona to Madrid on March 26. When I looked a few days ago, I saw numerous possible times, all with 2nd class tickets available. Today there is
nothing, in fact nothing for the whole week, except one regional train that takes all day. Is something happening in Spain that week or am I doing something wrong? I've looked at
Renfe and Loco2. Thanks for any advice.

Barcelona to Madrid by rail

The schedule hasn't been updated yet. You'll have to wait for a while. Just keep checking until you see all of the daily trains and all of the discounted tickets. If you're from the States, then you can check Petrabax.com for tickets if you have any problem buying them at Renfe.com. Petrabax is the official North American agent for Renfe.

Thanks so much. I was coming to that conclusion myself, but it helps to be reassured. I've been juggling so many travel ideas, I've lost track of which website has what info.
