Train Travel - Has anyone???
 

Has anyone stayed in Mitterfels, Germany and used the Straubing train station to take day trips to nearby cities? If so, how did you get from Mitterfels to Straubing?

The resort I'm staying at recommended taking a taxi, but at 25 Euros a trip (one-way), it is not the most economical option.

you need very specific travel information for relatively unusual towns; I suggest reposting your question with the towns in the title, to better catch the eye of someone who knows

Just use www.bahn.de. It looks like you have a couple of options. Bus 6091 direct to Straubing (one at 8:23 am, others too, about 20 min.) or bus 619 to Bogen, and then train to straubing (about 45 min.)
