train travel from Venice to Bologna to Siena
Hi Everyone,
Next June, I wil be traveling from Venice to Bologna and then on to Siena. Any suggestions about the best combination of trains/buses would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you could recommend the best way to visit Florence for the day from Siena- bus vs. train, that would be great, too! I am guessing that bus might be best for a drop off within Florence itself. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Venice to Bologna- train
Bologna to Siena- the direct bus is faster, cheaper and very comfortable.

Siena to Florence- bus (SITA bus leaves Siena from the city center. The Siena train station is down the hill from the city center so it is not as convenient)
