Train travel from Bellagio to Zurich, Zurich to Paris

Just wanting some tips about getting to Zurich from Bellagio. Should we go back to Milan and go on an express train? Also wondering if the train routes are scenic, or lots of tunnels. We will be training from Zurich to Paris also. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

The most scenic route would be ferry to Varenna, train to Tirano, Bernina rail route to Chur, train to Zürich. But it's quite long - if you don't mind a long day on the trains then this is best. If you want the trip to be quick then go back to Como and from there train to Zürich. Not too many tunnels, quite scenic also.

Do this route a lot Varenna out of your way

Have s look at a map

mid lake ferry to Menaggio 5 euro

cheapest quickest best way to do it

shuttle to Lugano 8 euro then Zurich then TGV Paris

seat61.com

Quickest cheapest most scenic

If you go back to Como/Milan more time expensive backtracking

Have fun,

The express train from Milan to Zurich stops in Como (S. Giovanni station) so you can catch it there if you want. You can take the local bus from Bellagio to Como or the ferry. You can often snag a Smart Fare (19€) or Smart Fare 2 (29€) on this route on Trenitalia.
