Train travel between France & Sweden
I am planning to spend a week in Paris this summer and then two weeks in Sweden. Is there any convenient, and reasonable train travel between these locations? I've checked the web for Eurrail, but can't seem to find any information connecting these two countries?

Not so quick with the putdown, Jenna.

You CAN get from Paris to Sweden, Karen - - but it's 11 hours, Paris to Hamburg and 13 hours Hamburg to Stockholm. Moreover, it will cost you almost $300 (USD).

I wouldn't do that to a dog.

No question you should fly - - London (Stansted) to Stockholm for as low as 25 GBP (taxes extra, I think). And Paris-London (Stansted also) from as low as 19 GBP (taxes also extra) - - though maybe more like 49 euros for summer, according to the website.

Happily the flights DO connect (twice a day available CDG-STN)

depart 09:35 arrive 09:50 (CDG-STN)

three p.m. departure choices to Stockholm airports:

12:45 to 15:55 and 17:35 to 20:45 for Stockholm s. Skavsta (NYO), and 13:40 to 16:50 for Stockholm Vasteras. Skavsta is 55 km south of Stockholm proper; Vasteras 65 km due west. Bus service to the city available for both.

See www.ryanair.com/regionmaps/stockholmmap.html for the exact geography.

Best wishes,

Rex

It appears it's Paris to Hamburg to Copenhagen to Stockholm. Try breaking down the trip when inputting your search to Paris>Copenhagen Copenhagen>Stockholm (or wherever you're going). I found connections on sncf.com for Paris to Copenhagen then on http://www.samtrafiken.se/
connections from Copenhagen
