I think you mispelled the name of the city. It is Bilbao. I myself live in Bilbao and have already done the route you say -last year I crossed Europe by train and our last stop was Paris, from which we came back. We took a TGV in Paris-Montparnasse at about 11 PM and for 6 or 7 AM we arrived in Irun, the last stop of the TGV and the first southern Basque town after crossing the border. From there you can take a bus -just there, at the train station-, which will bring you to Bilbao in about one hour -some more if it stops in Donostia/San Sebastián. Another way to reach Bilbao, is to take another train to Donostia (we call it "topo", and from there to Bilbao, the company: Eusko Trenbideak). It is much longer, no less than four hours, but you will see a bit of the Basque coast, green valleys and farms and beautiful landscapes that won't be able to be seen if you travel on the motorway by bus. Anyway, last year we traveled by bus, we had been 20 days in Europe and were already very tired. Choose the one you prefer and ask anything you'd like to know about Bilbao or the Basque Country.
