Train Tickets From Madrid and Seville
Where can train tickets be purchased other than train the train stations:
AVE from Madrid to Seville
Seville to Granada

We bought our tickets, Seville to Madrid on AVE when we arrived in Mdrid at the airport. There is an AVE kiosk there and it was easy.

Hi Myer,
As DOCK says, you can purchase all RENFE tixs at the RENFE counter at Madrid's airport. It's located downstairs in Terminal 1, the International Arrivals section. If you exit door 1, just turn right. It is next to the Replay news stand and it opens at 8 a.m. The really good thing is that they're never a line. We pick up all our train tickets there to avoid standing in the usually very long lines at Atocha station. For the AVE to Seville, we prepurchased in advance, using the Tiknet system at, then took along the locator number and the credit card we used tto make our purchase (these 2 steps are mandatory).

Do they sell tickets anywhere in the area of Sol?

I thought we may not decide which train to take until about 2 days in advance. I wanted to avoid buying at the airport or going to the station.

You can go to the huge El Corte Inglés department store on Calle Preciados 3 in Sol to the Viajes Corte Inglés travel agency located on Planta 1 in the main store. You can buy all your tickets there too, but I'd choose a slow time, as they do get very busy. They're open from Mon.-Sat. from 10-10.

Are they open until 10PM or 8PM?
