Train Ticket Type from Rome to Naples

I'm going to Rome next week and would like to purchase a train ticket from Rome to Naples leaving on the express train at 7:30. We'd like to reserve a seat and travel by 1st class if possible. Which ticket should we purchase? I'm lost when it comes to the catagory selection.??

Are there 2 traveling? We did this week before last and purchased the 2 for 1 fare (39 euros) - a good deal!

Is the 2 for 1 deal available at the station or only online? Just curious.

When we purchased ours, we did it online so I don't know the answer to your question - hopefully others will.

Yes, we have 2 people traveling. Should be purchase a Flexi AV ticket? Not sure which Fare Type to select.

flexi you can change, non flexi you cannot so do you need flexibility?

beshug Oct 2nd, 2006 08:53 AM

That makes sense. We don't need flexibility but would like to travel on the ES because of shortest time to Naples.

We took the AV and it was a dream! Is that the one you're looking at?

OK. So we should take the ES train in the morning to Naples and select the Flex AV ticket type for 39 euros per person?

Well, now I'm confused at what you're seeing on the website...when I clicked on the Trenitalia.com website, typed in a pretend day, chose the Rome-Naples 7:25am AV train that takes 1 hour 27 minutes, clicked on the rate - the choice I would chose is Due per Uno. That's what I purchased. I hope this helps, rather than confuses.

Oh, thanks. That is what I was looking for!!
