train ticket from Munich airport to Salzburg,Austria
how difficult would it be for me and a friend to just buy our train tickets at the Munich airport station for Salzburg? will the train station be right in the airport? how and what do I need to do to buy these tickets.

If you start your journey from Munich airport after 9am on weekdays or any time on weekends and holidays you can use the cheap Bayern Ticket (statewide day pass for local and regional transport).
It will cost 27 euro for the two of you.
You can buy it online on bahn.com, at vending machines at the airport's S-Bahn station or at staffed desks at the platform entrance in Terminal 1 or a staffed desk near the exits of Terminal 2.
If you are jetlagged on arrival, I suggest not trying to fiddle around with the machines, but just buy it from the desks (for a small surcharge).
Don't forget to write the names on the back of the ticket.
Take any S8 train from the airport to Munich East (Ostbahnhof) - three per hour.
Change to any Meridian train to Salzburg (one per hour).
The Bayern Ticket will cover the whole trip (S-Bahn and Meridian train, even though Salzburg is obviously already in Austria). It is not good on local transport in Salzburg, though.
