There is no train service to Bellagio.
Presuming you can do 10min walk downhill, plug in Rome, Varenna-Esino into: http://www.fsitaliane.it/homepage_en.html.
Here is the map showing the relationship of Varenna-Esino train station to Bellagio: http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=46...sz=16&t=m&z=13
You take one of the several boats as shown in the map from Varenna dock to Bellagio. Here are the boat schedules http://www.navigazionelaghi.it/eng/news.asp?ID=80 . You can take any of the following boats
- Ferry Como-Colico-Como
- Fast ferry Como-Colico-Como
- Car ferry service
- Mid-Lake Shuttle.

There is an alternative route via Como S. Giovanni station, then bus/taxi to Como boat dock, then boat/bus/walk to Bellagio. But the Varenna route is usually faster and runs later until almost 10pm.

As mentioned, take the train from Milan to Varenna-Esino. The trains run about once every 2 hours; the trip takes a little over 1.5 hours.

Get off the train and walk down the hill to the bottom and turn slightly to your left. There is a ticket booth across from the hotel/restaurant. There are two ferry docks; one is for fott traffic ferries only and the other is for car ferries which also accept foot passengers.

Ferries cross the lake to both Menaggio and Bellagio. Both are within sight of the ferry docks in Varenna.

If you plan to purchase in advance on Trenitalia, you only want to buy Rome/Milan. You can get a discount for this ticket with advance purchase (Mini Fare)and the discounts might not show if you enter Rome/Varenna.

Buy the Milan/Varenna ticket after you get to Milan as this route is only slow R trains (no discounts/no reserved seating).
