Train Stations for Prague, Vienna, Budapest

Can someone let me know what the train stations are that I should be researching for Prague, Vienna, and Budapest?

I haven't decided the order yet, so both inbound and outbound would be appreciated.

Thanks

You do not need to have the station in order to research your trains -- say, on elvira.hu (Hungary) or oebb.at (Austria). The website will prompt you.

Budapest trains bound for Vienna generally leave from Keleti station, I think.

Vienna trains for Budapest generally leave from Westbahnhof, I think.

There are 2 train stations in Prague but I think one is much bigger than the other.....

The two stations in Prague are Hlavni (the main station) and Holesovice.

The nonstop trains for Budapest leave from Westbahnhof, but there are also several trains from Sudbahnhof that will get you to Budapest (requiring a change somewhere along the way). Vice versa for getting into Vienna. www.bahn.de will give you full schedules.

Vienna-Prague trains nonstop trains generally leave from (or arrive into) Sudbahnhof but there are also trains from Wien Nord that would get you to Prague (again, with a change).
The Sudbahnhof station is quite drab, has few services and isn't directly connected to a U-bahn stop. However, it is served by the D-tram, which will get you onto the Ring in central Vienna.
The Westbahnhof has more services, a U-bahn stop (lines 3 and 6) plus trams, etc. And it's at the "top end" of Mariahilfer Strasse, a main shopping street. FYI, the West End Cafe across from the station (corner of Mariahilfer Strasse and Gurtel Europaplatz) makes excellent coffee. Has good beer too.

Thanks for all the info. After much discussion and reservation issues we have decided to go to Greece. Perhaps our next trip! :-)
