Is there a Trainsystem like Amtrak (Amtrak pass) on which you can take trips?
Would like to make a tour through Europe. Is there anything specific that I 'must' see? I just started planning yet so I didn't have much information yet. Thanks for any suggestions.

Europe has a much better train system than the US.

liveourlife --- don't be hostile !!! Europe is a huge smorgasbord of sights, tastes, sounds, smells, etc. No one can answer your question in less than 10,000 words. Especially since no one knows your likes and dislakes. If you want one book -- Rick Steves, Best of Europe, is not a bad starting point.

If you want a real answer as to what to see or doo suggest the following:

Tell us who you are/how many people will be going

How much time wil you have - 2 weeks? 2 months?

What kind of budget are you looking at?

Do you like cities? countryside? small towns?

What are your interests? Fine dining? History? Hiking? Art? Architecture? Clog dancing? Grape stomping?

If you provide some info people will try to help you - but your question with no background is unnaswerable.

i did a european tour a couple years back and i did not have a train pass. i thought it is better i just pay as i go as the train pass was not exactly cheap and often have many rules on them. i did not want the hassle. and i am glad i did that, as i spoke to some travellers and they told me it would have been cheaper for them if they had done it pay as they go, and not as restrictive to the travel plans too. i think must not miss cities in europe are: paris, london, rome, the greek islands, barcelona. it really depends on what you are looking for and how much time you have. there is architecture, art, culture, or nature, beach, moutains.

I am not "hostile". I just said that there is more than I thought and I have to get more information 9about what I want to see, which cities) so I would know what to ask specific. So I have to make a little research before I can do that.
