Train, private hire, bus from Venice to Dolomites?...Help

I am looking for info on getting from Venice to the Dolomites region. Yet once again, I know this is a long day trip, but my husband would love to see this region. We will be in that area in 2 weeks as a family of five.
I have looked at the Express bus options, the train to Bolzano. We have driven in Italy before but don't want to do it this time. I am open to looking into a private driver too.

Any thoughts on this is appreciated

Thanks!

I am sorry but your post makes no sense (to me, anyway).

you say you have looked into the various forms of transport:

you have rejected driving; you know there is rail service but say nothing one way or the other about it and you are open to a private driver.

so what IS your question? The "best" mode? The most expensive mode (which I suspect you already know)?

You say your husband wants to see the region but you do not say for how long or exactly where.

HELP!!!!

Where in the Dolomites?
Cortina/Misurina/Auronzo etc.:
ATVO bus, Cortinaexpress, Dolomnitibus or train up to Calazo plus Dolomitibus
Agordino/Zoldino: Dolomitibus
Alta Badia: Cortinaexpress or train up to Bruneck and SAD bus
Val Gardena: train up to Waidbruck and SAD Bus

I don't think the Cortina Express bus works as a day trip from Venice. AFAIK, it leaves Mestre in the afternoon.

It is only for a day trip. and the purpose is to see the moutains. My question is if coming from Venice via train or via bus, which best place to visit upon reaching Cortina by bus or Bolzano via train. what connections could i take? And does anyone have a private tour company they have done a Dolomites/Cortina day tour with.
