Train Pricing

cant seem to get pricing on sncf for train from paris to chatel censoir... (seems you have to change at laroche- migennes)i have checked the german site that someone listed, but can not get the pricing there either. and can someone tell me where the train station is at or near the charles de gaulle airport.

I just checked the SNCF site (with the arbitrary date of February 20, one adult in second class) and came up with a price of 23.80€.

You either depart from the Gare de Lyon and go through Laroche-Migennes) or you can depart from the Gare Bercy and go through Auxerre. The first route takes about 2.5 hours. The route through Auxerre, which also costs 23.80€, takes about 3.5 hours.

You cannot get there from CDG without going into Paris to either one of those train stations.

Hi dosu,

Go to http://www.ratp.fr/index_eng.htm and click on route finder. Enter the address of your hotel and the Gare Lyon or Gare Bercy.

They will tell you how to get there.

... and which train station
i looked at the site Ira gave me.. and there are 6 different gare de lyons

Patrick Jan 30th, 2004 10:49 AM

"there are six different gare de lyons." Huh? I think you'd better check again.

dosu Jan 30th, 2004 10:55 AM

Patrick:
Obviously there is only one. but there are 6 diffent options to choose. each appears to identify the route.. such as "12EME", "metro" "RER",
"Banlieue" etc... I was just asking which option to choose.

StCirq Jan 30th, 2004 11:07 AM

I would suggest you take a taxi to the train station, whichever you choose. I personally wouldn't want to spend all night on a flight, then an hour or so on public transportation to get into the city, then three hours on a train.

One of the Air France shuttles goes to the Gare de Lyon. It costs 11.50 € and takes about an hour - that's another option.
