Train passes? Good idea to get a Rail Pass or Jump10?

We will be staying in Bruges for a few days...is it better to get a Rail Pass if we want to day trip to Ghent and then to Brussels?

Or better to just buy one at a time? What is the advantage and how exactly do they work?
Thanks!

No to a traditional Eurailpass or such for sure -in any case those fares are cheap so you can't save too much but check the Belgian Railways official site for day passes and such that can be bought locally at stations:

http://www.belgianrail.be/en/Splash....2fDefault.aspx

for lots of general info on Belgian trains - which are fantastic in sheer numbers of trains and density of service (at one time anyway said to have the densest rail network in Europe) check www.seat61.com- good info on any available discounts; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.

IME Belgian trains can at certain times of day be very crowded in 2nd class as most are basically commuter trains - first class however seems always to have ample seat -not all trains may have first class but if they do for a very little extra you may get a lot.

What the heck is Jump 10 - jumping over 10 trains at once? Or is this some kind of multiple trip deal?

Thanks
