Train: Paris to Zurich?
 

Is it possible to take a train from Paris (CDG Airport) to Zurich (ZRH Airport)? And if so, how long would it take?<BR><BR>Ready to roll.<BR><BR>E

Eamon,<BR>As Andre said, it can be done, and his timing is about right. You will end up taking 4 trains: from CDG, you will take the RER line B to Gare du Nord. That takes about 35 minutes. Then take the train from that station to Basel. That takes about 4 hours. Change trains in Basel, and on to Zurich (another 2 hours). From the central station in Zurich, the train to the airport (runs about every 1/2 hour), another 20 minutes. That's 7 hours, not to mention the waiting time at Gare Du Nord and the station in Basel for the connecting trains.

Three or four trains, yes; one train no. The reference library of a city near you may have the Thomas Cook European Timetable. This shows the connections. I am afraid there are only three TGV on this route. They have buffet cars.
